Note:Cable has been extensively tested, but we can not guarantee it will work correctly with every system in every car. Support 32bit/64bit of Win7, Win8, Win10, Windows XP. I might have to struggle with getting PIN/SKC for it, but I figured at least I can check if my ECU is damaged on not.Special Functions for VW Touareg (7P) EPB I ordered a used ECU from ebay (same part number). I do see CCM and TCM though, so these controls (located under the carpet) shoud be OK. If it is pure coincidence and not related to recoding, any idea where to look for the damage considering that I cannot see Engine ECU, ABS and Radio. I pull the ECU out to find it bone dry.Īny idea if somehow my recoding for seat belt sound did the damage OR this is a pure coincidence and has to do with me washing the car and shorting some circuit? I did wash the car underneath and also wheels/disks I can see all the other components but some of them have error codes related to no communications to/from ECU/ECM. Now to my surpirse I can not get to 1-Engine, 3-ABS, 56-Radio components. I hook up the ross-tech cable again (jumper cables still on my battery) and do auto scan. I hookup jumper cables from my other car and try to start Passat to no avail So I suspect dead battery was related to my car wash somehow Try to start again to no avail and the battery dies. It saves OK again (w/o logging with immobolizer PIN/SKC) I hokup the cable and change the code back to 15235. It also sounds like my battery is dying and the cabin lights blink. Now I try to start the car right after the code change, it starts to crank and does not start. I did not know if I supposed to do it and the VCDS software allowed me to change and save the code. Note: when I changed the code, I did not login with immobolizer3 PIN/SKC. So I go to 17-Instruments cluster, 7-Coding and reduce the code by 2 to disable the sound. Then I have a 'brilliant' idea to disable seat belt sound that had bothered me during the autoscan procedure All components connect fine and I reset the coolant error code I hookup ross-tech cable, do autoscan with VCDS 15.7.0. I know what the code was - it has to do with coolant temp too low. After washing the car I did not try to start it. I used regular garden hose (no power wash) to wash the car, including underneath and wheels/disks. The car was driving OK in the morning and early afternoon. We had a lovely warm Sunday iand I decided to wash my car in the afternoon. I have 2004 1.8T AWM engine A/T 4motion Passat. I know the Ross-Tech vagcom is the best tool out there and should not damage my ECU.
